RhônEco

ECOLOGICAL OBSERVATORY of the Rhône restoration

RhônEco is an interdisciplinary scientific programme to monitor the restoration of the Rhône. It aims to understand how the hydrosystem functions and to assess the effects that restoration actions may have on the river’s aquatic environments and biodiversity.

The data collected over more than 20 years can be used to develop predictive models and test restoration scenarios. These are particularly useful tools for designing future actions to improve the ecological quality of the river.

The knowledge and tools developed in RhônEco are shared and discussed with all those involved in restoring the Rhône.
